Alexis + Kyleigh's Senior Session at St.Simons Island Georgia
Alexis and Kyleigh’s senior session at St. Simons Island was so much fun, even with freezing temps and a serious ocean breeze. At around 54 degrees, it was definitely chilly, but these two didn’t let the cold slow them down for a second.
As a St. Simons Island senior photographer, sessions like this are my favorite - beautiful coastal scenery, lots of laughter, and seniors who fully show up ready to enjoy the moment. Alexis and Kyleigh are twin seniors, standout lacrosse players, and truly the definition of driven and joyful. From the start, their energy was effortless and their connection made every photo feel natural and real.
We photographed their session along the St. Simons Island beach and around the iconic St. Simons Lighthouse, using the soft coastal light and open shoreline to create a relaxed, timeless feel. Even while freezing, they kept things light, fun, and full of personality, and somehow made 54 degrees look like a summer breeze.
After graduation, both girls are headed to college, where they’ll continue playing lacrosse while studying nursing. Capturing this season before they head into such an exciting next chapter felt incredibly special. These are the moments senior photos are meant for - celebrating accomplishments, dreams, and everything that led them here.
And then… the highlight. They ran straight into the water. In January. On purpose. Watching them laugh, splash, and completely forget about the cold was such a fun moment, and those images are absolute favorites. Spontaneous, joyful, and 100% them.
This session is exactly why I love photographing Georgia coastal senior sessions. Senior year is about celebrating who you are right now, your friendships, your passions, and the excitement of what’s ahead. Alexis and Kyleigh brought all of that and more, and I’m still obsessed with how every image turned out.
